India win a historic Gold medal at the Commonwealth games 2018

Manika Batra beat World No. 4 Feng Tianwei of Singapore! 

India is 1-0 up in the Gold medal round of the 2018 Commonwealth Games at Gold Coast.

Madhurika Patkar Torgalkar is playing against Yu Mengyu in the 2nd match. 

Update: Although Madhurika lost, the doubles pair won and allowed Manika to demonstrate her dominance in the reverse singles.

India won 3-1 and with it the shining gold medal.

Gao Ning, Feng Tianwei lead new faces at the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Pattaya

Gao Ning, Yang Zi, Pang Xue Jie and Clarence Chew, and Edric Lim will be representing Singapore at the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Pattaya.

Feng Tianwei, Yu Mengyu, and teenagers Yee Herng Hwee, Goi Rui Xuan and Eunice Lim have been chosen in the Women's team.

Indian Women advance to semi final stage at Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships

Neha Agarwal and Mouma Das played some outstanding Table Tennis for India in the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships at New Delhi. Neha beat Yihan Zhou, ranked 91, while Mouma Das gave a tremendous fight to World No. 4 and Star player of Singapore, Feng Tianwei (losing in the deciding game). India however, managed to beat the other teams, Scotland and Wales to advance to the semi finals where they meet England.

With the kind of form they have shown in the 1st and 2nd stage league matches, they have a realistic chance of making it to the finals.

Kishikawa bags Japan Open title

Seiya Kishikawa beat his more famed rival, Jun Mizutani to win the Kobe Pro tour title. Kishikawa won 4-1.

Feng Tianwei won the women's title by comprehensively beating Ai Fukahara 4-0.

The highlight of the tournament was a spate of upsets in the initial rounds with a record number of seeds being shown the door in the Men's singles 1st rounds.
