Aman Balgu to meet Noel Pinto; Shweta meets Charvi in the JVPGC All Mumbai Ranking Table Tennis tournament finals

Aman Balgu will meet Noel Pinto in the Men's finals of the JVPGC All Mumbai Ranking Table Tennis tournament. In the women's finals, Shweta Parte will take on Charvi Kawle.

India fights it out in the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Busan


India faced China in the Quarterfinals of the Men's team event at the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Busan, Korea. Amalraj gave a decent fight to Yan An in the third singles.

China fielded a new gen team with Ma Long as the backbone. Sharath lost to Fan Zhendong and Soumyajit to Ma Long.

It is good to see that Indian TT players are consistently meeting world class players. It surely means that progress is being made and they are only being stopped by the best.


Meanwhile, some stand-out performances by Indian women players at the Asian Table Tennis Championships:

Mouma Das put up a spirited fight against World No. 2 Liu Shiwen.
Neha Aggarwal played true to her strength throughout the team event matches.

Henzell and Miao Miao crowned Oceania Cup champions

William Henzell and Miao Miao beat David Powell and Li Chunli respectively to win the Oceania Cup at Bendigo Australia. This was Henzell's third consecutive victory.

While Henzell beat Powell fairly easily, Miao Miao had to battle back from 1-3 down against the experienced Chunli. The win for Miao Miao also meant that she earned a ticket to the Women's World Cup to be held at Kobe, Japan in September. Similarly, Henzell gets to compete at the Men's World Cup at Verviers, Belgium in October.

Martand, Shweta win Men's and Women's titles at Nanded

Martand Biniwale and Shweta Parte won the Men's and Women's titles at the 1st Maharashtra State Ranking Table Tennis tournament held at Nanded.

Other notable winners were Devika Bhide, who won the Junior girls singles title and reached the women's singles finals. Siddhesh Pande belied his age and created waves in this tournament in different age group competitions.

Priyanka creates record at the Rajasthan State Ranking Table Tennis tournament at Ajmer

Priyanka Pareek of Churu won an unprecedented 4 titles (Sub Juniors, Juniors, Youth, and Women's) titles at the Rajasthan State Ranking Table Tennis tournament at Ajmer! A big round of cheers for her!!!

Vivek Bhargava won the Youth and Men's titles. The Men's final match was an edge of the seat affair with Vivek prevailing over International Sudhanshu Grover, coming back from 0-3 down to win 15-13 in the seventh game!

Abu Dhabi Table Tennis Association The 4th Battle ZAYED HIGHER ORGANIZATION Mafraq Abu Dhabi UAE will commence on 28th June, 2013.

A total of over 135 participants will battle for honours. The tournament is divided into 4 classes, A, B, B+, and C. Please attend the tournament and encourage the participants.
