There are a wide variety of Table Tennis Bats/Rackets available in the market. How do you choose one?

First, try to categorize yourself, which category do you fall into?
  • At home player
  • Club Player
  • District/Provincial/County level
  • State Level
  • National/International level
Now that you've identified your playing level, you can choose to buy one of the following types of Table Tennis bats:
  • Pre-assembled hobby bats (Rs. 500-1200, approx $ 9-22)
  • Pre-assembled professional bats (Rs. 4000 - 20000, approx $ 70-360)
  • Separate Table Tennis Rubbers (Pips in and Pips out) and Blades (Wood or Carbon) that can be assembled (Brands - Butterfly, Tibhar, Andro, Yasaka)

Zhang Jike awarded lavish gift for Olympic gold medal

London Olympic gold medallist, Zhang Jike has been given a home of 120 sq meters with a sea view in the coastal city of Qingdao.

Jike not only won the Gold medal but helped his team to the team gold, although he lost his singles match to Timo Boll.

Soumyajit, Poulomi shine at the Inter institutional Table Tennis Championships

Soumyajit Ghosh and Poulomi Ghatak won grand double crowns at the All India Inter-institutional Table Tennis Championships.

Soumyajit beat Sharath Kamal 4-1 while Poulomi beat Divya Deshpande by the same margin. Earlier, Soumyajit had beaten reigning national champion, A Amalraj in the semi finals.

Men’s singles: Soumyajit Ghosh (PSPB) bt Achanta Sharath Kamal (PSPB) 4-1 (15-13, 11-7, 11-9, 9-11, 15-13).

Semifinals: A Sharath Kamal bt Harmeet Desai 4-2 (13-11,11-9,9-11, 8-11,12-10,11-8), Soumyajit Ghosh bt Amalraj 4-1 (11-7, 9-11, 11-9, 12-10, 11-3).

Mustafa Erbas encourages Edmonton seniors to play Table Tennis to stay fit

Mustafa Erbas, who is 77 years young, helped establish the Central Seniors Table Tennis Association.
