The 33rd District Inter Club and State Open Ranking Table Tennis Championship was held at the Indoor stadium, DM College Campus at Imphal.

All India BSNL Table Tennis tournament at Chandigarh

The 15th All India BSNL Table Tennis Tournament will be held at Chandigarh Sector 23 from October 6 to 9, 2015.

Chandigarh telecom district is the host and will be taking the responsibility from Punjab Telecom circle.

The tournament is expected to attract 100-125 players from all parts of India in the Men's and Women's categories.

Tamilnadu State Ranking Table Tennis tournament at PSNA college of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul

PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul will host the State and Inter district Table Tennis Championships from October 22 to 25.

The tournament will be conducted by the Tamil Nadu Table Tennis Association (TNTTA). Last date for entries is October 10.

North Korean pair Kim Hye Song and Ri Mi Gyong shock sporting world;win Asian title

North Koreans Kim Hye Song and Ri Mi Gyong caused a sensation at the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Pattaya. In the womens doubles final, they beat prodigies Mima Ito and Miu Hirano.

The win was more surprising since the Japanese pair was beaten without a contest in straight games.

European Table Tennis Championships live; Ovtcharov wins!

Ovtcharov is the European Table Tennis Champion!

Live! Dmitrij Ovtcharov beat Marcos Freitas 4-1 (14-12,9-11,11-9,11-4, 11-6) in the best of seven final in the European Table Tennis Championships at Ekaterinburg.

The first three games were closely contested between the World nos. 5 and 9.

Elizabeta Samara is the European Women's singles champion of 2015


Elizabeta Samara of Romania beat Li Jie of Netherlands to clinch the Women's title at the European Championships. In a match that was contested closely up to the fifth game, Elizabeta prevailed 11-6,9-11,3-11,11-7,12-14,11-4,11-4.

Earlier in the semi finals, both Elizabeta and Li Jie had beaten their opponents Polina Mikhailova and Yu Fu respectively by the same score 4-1.

Waldner turned 50 yesterday. It is an important day for any human being, but this is no ordinary human being we are talking about.

Central Zone Table Tennis tournament at Jamnagar, Gujarat from October 6

Jamnagar will host the Central Zone Table Tennis tournament in an attractive stadium from October 6 to 11. Most of the top players in the country are expected to participate. In addition to this, there will be hordes of aspiring juniors who will try to win laurels and reach higher in the rankings.

This is an important event for Gujarat as they will be hosting the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships at Surat late this year.

Semi final line up at the European Table Tennis Championships 2015

The semi final lineup at the European Table Tennis Championships has been decided.

In the Women's singles, Polina Mikhailova takes on Elizabeta Samara in the first semi final, followed by Li Jie who faces Fu Yu of Portugal.

In the Men's singles, top seed Dimitrij Ovtcharov meets Tiago Apolonia while Par Gerell will face Marcos Freitas.

Fan Zhendong wins a triple crown at the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Pattaya

Fan Zhendong, who had earlier captured the mixed doubles and Men's doubles titles, won all the titles at stake in the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Pattaya, Thailand. In addition to the open events, he had also a big part of the winning China team.

Zhendong survived a scare as his doubles partner Xu Xin came back from 0-3 to equalize at 3-3 before he prevailed 11-9 in the decider.
