Manika Batra No. 1 Indian woman on ITTF World Ranking list
Manika Batra is no. 1 Indian Woman player on
the ITTF rankings list even though she is still a junior ranked in the
top 30 in the world!
Recently, she added one more feather to her cap by winning a medal at the Asian Junior Championships along with Reeth Tennison. This is a huge feat considering the strength of the Asian TT giants.

Delhi State Ranking Table Tennis tournament
The Delhi State Ranking Table Tennis tournaments starts on 15 September 2013 and runs until 18 September 2013. The tournament will be played at Hans Raj Model School, Punjabi Bagh (West).
A total of 15 events will be played in the tournament that also has events for Kids (U10) and Tots (U 8).
Last date for sending entries is September 11.

Sharath beats Chen Weixing in the Champions League match
Sharath is probably one of the rare Indians if not the only to play the prestigious Champions league.

Timo, Sharath ensure win in the opening tie of the Bundesliga Table Tennis league
Timo Boll, Achanta Sharath Kamal, and Patrick Baum ensured that Borussia Dusseldorf collected their first win in the opening tie of the Bundesliga (German Table Tennis league).
Sharath Kamal provided the crucial point for Dusseldorf after Baum suffered an upset at the hands of Gacina of TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau. Timo Boll did the rest by winning two rubbers.

Shamini, Soumyajit triumph at the Inter institutional Table Tennis tournament at Dharwad
K Shamini and Soumyajit Ghosh win the prestigious Inter institutional Table Tennis titles. The tournament was held at Dharwad, Karnataka.
It is worth noting that this tournament is the 2nd most important tournament on the Indian Table Tennis calendar and carries 50% more weightage than the various Zonal (national level) tournaments.

Sharath reaches the Quarters of the Czech World Tour event
Indians are shining on the World stage
again!!! Sharath Kamal has reached the Quarter finals of the ITTF World
Tour tournament at the Czech Republic. Sharath has a great chance to
reach the semi-finals and beyond now.
He now plays Daniel Gorak of Poland who upset second seed Patrick Franziska of Germany.
In the earlier rounds, Sharath beat Jakub Dyjas of Poland, Le Brenton Thomas of France, and Mattias Oversjo of Sweden. In the comments, please watch a very interesting video of Oversjo that went viral on the Net.

Sharath Kamal seeded seventh at the Czech Republic ITTF World Tour event
Indian ace Sharath Kamal
is participating in the GAC Group 2013 ITTF World Tour, Czech Open,
Major Series 21 Aug 2013 - 25 Aug 2013, Olomouc, CZECH REPUBLIC. Owing
to his World No. 64 ranking, Sharath is the seventh seed in the
tournament.
In the doubles, he will be partnering young Ricardo Walther of Germany. Incidentally, Ricardo is a team mate of Sharath's at Borussia Dusseldorf, which also boasts of other big names such as Timo Boll, Patrick Baum and Cristian Suss.
The Czech tournament will be a very good warm up for Sharath as Borussia Dusseldorf have a match against TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau on 31st August.
