Ovtcharov's effort goes in vain as Austria shocks Germany to win European Table Tennis Champion title

Stefan Fegerl became the hero of Austrian Table Tennis overnight as he won the crucial point for his country as they beat Germany 3-2 in the finals of the European Table Tennis Championships at Ekaterinburg.

Fegerl beat Patrick Baum in the deciding match of the tie.

Zhang Jike redeems himself at the Asian Table Tennis Championships final; China wins

China became champions for the nth time at the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Pattaya, Thailand. In a one-sided battle, China beat Japan 3-0.

Zhang Jike shocked by Jang Woojin at Pattaya

Jang Woojin shocked super star Table Tennis player and Grand Slam winner Zhang Jike in the semi-finals of the Championship division team event at the Asian Table Tennis Championships. China still managed to beat Korea 3-1 as Fan Zhendong and Xu Xin posted victories over their rivals.

In the other semi finals, Japan beat Chinese Taipei 3-0. Japan's victory is creditable because they won without their star, Jun Mizutani.

China faces Japan in the finals to decide the team winner at Pattaya. The match starts at 19:00 local time in Pattaya, Thailand.

Five star Mumbai City Table Tennis tournament at Matunga Gymkhana

The 5 star Mumbai City District Ranking Table Tennis tournament will be held at Matunga Gymkhana from October 2 to 4, 2015.

Players will vie for honours in 15 categories.

Sitaram Gamre will be the Chief Referee for the tournament.

Update: Indian men finish 8th at the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Pattaya, Thailand

India lost to Iran 2-3 to finish 8th at the Asian Table Tennis Championships. Ironically, India had beaten Iran 3-0 in an earlier encounter in the same tournament.

Germany and Austria reach the finals of the European Table Tennis Championships at Ekaterinburg

Germany just beat France 3-1 to advance to the finals of the 2015 edition of the European TT Championships.

Austria continued their dream run by beating Belarus to get a chance to stake a claim for the prestigious team title.

Thiago Monteiro and Jeon Jihee bag Chile Open Table Tennis titles

Brazilian Thiago Monteiro beat Hampus Soderlund 4-2 (6-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-7, 10-12, 11-9) to win the Men's singles title at the Chile Open tournament at Santiago. He was the top seed in the Challenge ITTF World tour event.

The Women's final was an all-Korean affair in which Jeon Jihee beat Yoon Sunae 12-10,12-10,11-6,11-7.

India lose to China in the Asian Table Tennis Championships

China, playing without its top player, World Champion Ma Long, was still powerful enough to beat India by the expected 3-0 margin.

Xu Xin took China to 1-0 by beating Harmeet Desai 11-9, 11-9 and 11-3. Chinese great Zhang Jike enhanced the score by overcoming G Sathiyan 11-5, 11-3, and 11-4. Young Fan Zhendong completed the rout and put an end to India's challenge by beating National Champion Soumyajit Ghosh 11-6, 11-7, and 11-8.

Amrutha Pushpak and Sachin Vishwanath bag double crowns

Amrutha Pushpak stole the limelight by winning a double crown at the recent State Ranking Table Tennis tournament. 

She beat N Vidya and S Selena Deepthi in the Women's and Youth girls finals. 

Sushmit Sriram won the Men's title while Sachin Vishwanath won a double by capturing the Youth and Junior boys singles titles.

Naina Suri and Pankaj Sidana won the Women's and Men's titles at the 2nd Chandigarh Ranking Table Tennis tournament. While Naina beat Shelly Dhawan, Pankaj overcame resistance from Dev Saini.

Pankaj won a double crown by winning the Youth Boys title.

India tops groups in both categories at the Pattaya Asian TT Championships

India won all their Men's group matches and beat Uzbekistan 3-0 in the Division 1 match at the Suzuki 2015 ITTF Asian Table Tennis Championships at Pattaya, Thailand.

Qatar gave India a scare in the group matches, but India scraped through 3-2. India play hosts Thailand tomorrow.

In the Women's matches, India blanked all their opponents 3-0 in their group, but lost to Thailand in the Division 1 match.

The September 2015 edition of the Westchester Open will be held from September 26 to 27, 2015 at Pleasantville, New York. The 4 Star Tournament boats of $5, 400 in Cash and Prizes.

Serbian Junior and Cadet Open tournament at Vrnjacka Banja

The ITTF Junior circuit series moves to Serbia in October, where a Junior and Cadet open tournament will be held from 7 to 11.

The Spa town of Vrnjacka Banja will play host to the tournament. 170 Table Tennis talents from 22 countries will fight for the top honors.

Belgrade International Airport is the nearest airport to the venue.

Anniversary Table Tennis tournament at Cliff Anderson Sports Hall

The Titans Table Tennis Club celebrates the fourth anniversary this year in Guyana. A tournament is being organized to raise awareness about sports. 

Club President and national player Dwain Dick said that the tournament will be called the Gold Cup tournament. 
Earlier, another tournament called the Play to Conquer tournament sponsored by the Director of Sport, Christopher Jones was held.

Gao Ning, Feng Tianwei lead new faces at the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Pattaya

Gao Ning, Yang Zi, Pang Xue Jie and Clarence Chew, and Edric Lim will be representing Singapore at the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Pattaya.

Feng Tianwei, Yu Mengyu, and teenagers Yee Herng Hwee, Goi Rui Xuan and Eunice Lim have been chosen in the Women's team.

European Table Tennis Championships 2015

The premier Table Tennis event in Europe will be held at Yekaterinburg, Russia from September 25 to October 4, 2015. Top athletes in Europe will vie for the highest prizes. However, one of the stars of the continent, Timo Boll was forced to withdraw from the tournament owing to a knee injury that requires surgery.

2015 European Para Table Tennis Championships at Vejle

Denmark will play host to the 2015 edition of the European Para Table Tennis championships. The tournament will run from October 12 to 17, 2015.

The tournament will be held at Spektrum, which a brand new stadium. Twelve tables will be set up for the event.
The tournament is being organized by the Danish Sports Organisation of the Disabled, EliteVejle, Vejle Municipality, Sport Event Denmark, The Danish Table Tennis Federation and the ITTF.

Vikarm Arora wins inter-expat Table Tennis tournament

Vikram Arora, who originally hails from Delhi, won the Class A category of the Egyptian Table Tennis Association tournament that was held at the Qatar Bowling Centre recently.

In the finals, Vikram beat Ahmen Ben Emam 3-2 in a closely fought encounter.
